我看著小乞丐無助又天真的眼神，看到那難陀古佛學院寂天菩薩的寮房禪洞，看見靈鷲山世尊對頻婆娑羅王講經台，看著菩提迦耶的菩提樹王⋯。
聖地的加持力量是很大的，但不只是讓自己的願望實現，而且是讓我們的心轉化於慈悲與覺醒。遶塔是，看見小乞丐也是。

I look into the innocent eyes of a helpless young beggar. See the remains of Shantideva's meditation cell in the ancient Nalanda University. Gaze at Vulture Peak, and the place where the Buddha taught king Bimbisara.

This sacred place is filled with vast amount of blessings . Not only our wishes come fulfilled , it is a place where our hearts transformed to be compassionate and awakened. Same as in the Maha Stupa that we circumambulate , and when we encounter little beggars.

In 2014, Changhua and Hualien's County Government invited His Holiness Karmapa for Dharma Teachings . It was a historic moment.
His Holiness' five teachings on Compassion and Wisdom explained the use of Emptiness and Mindfulness . Structured and insightful , it is suitable for all audiences from different walks of life and background .
Striving for the best quality, volunteer workers have been devotedly and diligently working on translations and video editing for almost a year . The DVD also bears His Holiness' autograph .
This year , the Shar Minub Monastery , main seat of Shamarpa, situated in Nepal, was impacted severely by the Nepal mega earthquakes. The funds raised from the DVD selling will be donated to the Shar Minub Monastery, and these funds are also an offering in memory of Shamar Rinpoche.
As a Sutra says, "If you want to know what fruits you will reap in lives to come, you are planting the seeds for them now."
The perfection of Giving, Dana Paramita , and the merits of being able to access dharma , is an auspicious cause for Dharma friends attaining Buddhahood.

我在這一集提到了解決對立的一個方便的方法是花錢，但我們必須找到放下「我捨不得」的方法。但現在反過來說，錢財是生活的必需，但要取之有道；而且比錢更重要的東西是維護人格和佛性。
我們的確很心痛；我的朋友可以擺麵攤，揮汗如雨，辛勞一碗一碗的賺錢，生活安心踏實，我們追求的是金錢之外，不就是這個嗎！

為何苦？因為有老死。為何老死？因為誕生。為何誕生？因為有「有」。為何有「有」？因為取。為何取？因為愛……。
如何掌控不苦？精進則不苦。放逸懈怠則苦。
如何是精進？一念相應智慧，則是進入無苦與無生。
例如：有人謗我，我當下反省一下，不要與他辯。他的惡語如火，我的心性如天空。火燒不了空。老闆要我掃地，我就去掃，內心不去嘀咕說：為何不找其他人掃？只是用第一念，沒有第二分別念，這就是精進。反之即一念懈怠，以致生死流轉，苦海無邊⋯⋯。

非常令人感傷的看到人類是可以那麼具破壞性。於此時刻，尤其重要的是，要記得我們是有強大勇氣與慈悲的能力。在此非常不幸的一天，我為受害者、犯罪者及直接與間接受到傷害者祈禱。

我們需要藉此時機去發展我們的覺悟和諒解，過著免於恐懼的生活。我們藉此時刻去勇敢地面對恐懼與驚慌，而不是屈服於它們。我們於此時刻，應長養仁慈，讓大家看到這是因為缺乏了覺知、智慧與慈悲，而演變出的情緒，這才是我們真正需要克服與面對的事情。

我祈禱！我們依此時刻用一個悲愍的方法去回應，用我們心中的希望去面對，並且要記得我等人類具有無比勇氣與慈悲的能力。我在這裏要求直接與間接受到悲劇影響的人，與我一起祈禱。

我小的時候，母親大人帶著我去天主教堂受洗，我於是成為一個「天主教徒」，但是我什麼教義都不懂。
直到我學了佛教，學了禪。
有一個耶誕節，我刻意去望彌撒，「子夜彌撒」！我念到了一段祈禱文：「願天主與你同在！也願與你的心靈同在！」突然連結到「即心即佛」的思維𥚃。我與先母說：天主就是你，你就是天主。天主的愛在您的心𥚃並且要付諸實現。
佛教的六波羅密多也是如此，每一個波羅密多都可以讓我們度過彼岸，就看你如何轉化自己的心識了。

1) The day before Retreat, an approaching Typhoon suddenly made a sharp turn changing direction, moving away from Taiwan. It left us with the perfect weather of magnificent rainbow and refreshing drizzle.

2）"Team Spirit " is all of the participants who've helped generate the greatest benefits of the Retreat.

3) It is very impressive seeing the intense interests and close interaction among participants during Lama's teachings . Physical health is essential for meditation practice . After class, we have "Eight Section Qigong Exercise" and Monastery gardening for health maintenance .

4) We should feel blessed that we are given this precious opportunity where we can have such a unique Retreat in a non-extravagant but quiet and secluded place where everything needed is readily available and accessible .

Chokyi Niyma Rinpoche is a lineage holder of Nyingma and Kagyu lineage . In spite of his busy schedule, he came to Sharminub Monastery for the first anniversary of Shamarpa's nirvana, and gave me precious teachings.

His approach of "Hit the nail on the head' in a humorous way , and directly pointing to the essence of "Buddha-nature is inside ourselves , not to seek the light outside of own's life, but look within " has profound influence on me . Grateful for his great teachings .

甚麼是「如來」？爲甚麼曰「如來」？

片中說，「如來」是證到沒生沒死涅槃寂靜果位的佛。沒有念頭的生、滅，但心還有。有「用」嗎？有！是「妙用」，是大圓的鏡的妙用。
這個大圓鏡就是禪宗經常說的「胡來胡現，漢來漢現」。我們的法身就是這樣的妙體，就有這樣的妙用。雖然法身無相，但它是真空妙用，能成一切事，能生萬法， 能應緣起用，能應緣接物，所以它又不離諸相。我們凡夫著相，不知相不異體，見有差異相的，是從妄心分別而有。所謂「千江有水千江月」，眾生的心水，分江、 湖、河、海，諸佛只有一個如月之體。
爲什麼曰「如來」？
我們現在都是凡夫，要來不能來，要去不能去，像一片樹葉隨著「業」風飄，從來不由自己。只有十方三世一切諸佛才能了脫生死，要來能來，要去能去，方可稱 「如來」。必須萬德俱備，才能稱「如來」。《佛說十號經》十方三世一切佛都是如來、應供、正等覺、明行足、善逝、世間解、無上士、調御丈夫、天人師、佛、 世尊。總的說來「如來」是說佛陀在如如不動的法身中，因悲憫救度眾生，應化而來，故名「如來」。

片中提到唐代的丹霞天然禪師有一次路過京城的慧林寺，遇天大寒，取木佛燒火向。
院主訶曰：「何得燒我木佛？」
師（丹霞）以杖子撥灰曰：「吾燒取舍利。」
主曰：「木佛何有舍利？」
師曰：「既無舍利，更取兩尊燒。」

儘管我們懷疑它的歷史真實性，但是這個故事卻膾炙人口，也沒有人懷疑這個褻瀆佛陀的丹霞的精神成就。
很多的禪宗公案都會令我們摸不著頭腦，不是殺貓、斬蛇，就是一巴一巴掌的故事。不能理解公案的意義是因為我們一直被規定在邏輯、二元論的思維模式運作。
鈴木大拙一針見血的道出：
「禪自己也不想不合邏輯，它只是讓人明白，邏輯的一致性並非究竟。我們一直執著「是」與「非」的對立，當一切都上軌道時，「是」與「非」的知性窠臼還滿管 用，但一旦臨到終極的生命問題時（生死），知性就捉襟見肘了。當我們說「是」時，我們是在肯定，並因此限制了自己。當我們說「不是」時，我們是在否定，否 定是在排斥。排斥和限制，都是同一回事，都是在戕害靈魂。在排斥或限制裡，是不會有自由或和諧的。」
禪宗說的明心見性，給自己的框框鎖得死死的又怎能「明心見性」。
有一禪師曾說「向上一路，直踏毘盧頂上行；向下會取，只在兒孫腳底事。」
